The Omaha Storm Chasers (53-56) moved into sole possession of first place in the American Northern Division with a 4-1 win over the Nashville Sounds (38-71). The win was the fourth straight home victory for the Chasers, a season high, and also matches the longest overall winning streak of the season.
Left-hander Danny Duffy allowed only two hits and no runs to the Sounds over five innings, while matching a Triple-A season high with seven strikeouts. Duffy got a no-decision.
After the Sounds tied the game in the top of the seventh with a two-out RBI of their own by catcher Anderson De La Rosa, Omaha batted around in the bottom of the inning to score three runs. Christian Colon and Max Ramirez hit back-to-back bases loaded RBI singles, and catcher Manuel Pina worked a two-out bases loaded walk to cap the rally.
The Storm Chasers will look for their first series sweep of the season Monday night. Omaha left-hander Justin Marks (4-10, 5.40) will face veteran lefty Aaron Laffey (0-2, 5.40). First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m.
