Bo Pelini did not speak with the media after the Huskers first practice on Monday, but he made himself available last night. He said the team looked a little tired at the end of their second workout, but he says this group has something to prove.
The Huskers top tight end, Jake Long will be out a couple of weeks with an undisclosed injury. RS freshman quarterback Tommy Armstrong had a procedure on his knee related to a past surgery and should could return soon.
The Huskers lost four seniors at the safety position alone from last year, but Pelini likes what he sees on defense and says the strong suit is the secondary. Pelini also points to RS freshman and incoming freshman who could make impacts early.
