A month-long investigation into an alleged illegal auto dealership has concluded with the arrest of an Alma man and the seizure of 23 vehicles.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports that 53-year-old Max Siegel has been charged with operating an unauthorized auto dealership.
The patrol along with the Nebraska Motor Vehicle Industry Licensing Board and the Harlan County Attorney served both a search warrant and an arrest warrant at the High Plains Claims Company in Alma late Wednesday morning.
Officers checked 36 vehicles, seizing 23. Motor vehicle titles, financial records and currency were also seized.
