Two eastern Nebraska men are hospitalized and facing charges after an overnight crime spree in southwest Iowa.
Authorities say two motels were robbed late Thursday night, in the town of Stuart and near Atlantic, Iowa.
The suspected gunmen in both cases sped away in a car, which an Iowa state trooper spotted on Interstate 80.
He chased the suspects through two counties and onto I-680 and I-29. Speeds topped out at 130 miles an hour.
Stop sticks were deployed near Council Bluffs and the suspects’ car rolled several times in the median.
Both men had to be extricated from the wreckage, both badly injured and one in critical condition. Both are reportedly from Omaha and are hospitalized, pending charges.
No names were released.
