Summer unofficially ended today as some Nebraska school districts resumed classes for the fall.
Randy Anderson, superintendent for the Hartington and Crofton districts, says he had some issues filling a few staff vacancies.
“I had a lot of difficulty trying to find guidance (counselors) this year, I though that was interesting,” Anderson says. “I had to bring one of my counselors out of retirement to help out, at least for the timebeing.”
Anderson says he now has a full staff and is ready for the semester, adding, it was a busy summer, with major renovation projects underway on schools in both districts.
