The investigation continues into the early morning death of a woman on Omaha’s west side. Omaha Police Lt. Rob Jones says they were called to 168th and Fort Street shortly after 2:00 Wednesday morning after a report of shots fired in the area. He says officers arrived within four minutes of the call and they found an adult female lying in the roadway.
Lt. Jones says they are talking with one witness and they are trying to track down a vehicle that may have been involved. The name of the woman has not yet been released.
Omaha police continue to investigate the death of a 74 year old Omaha man that was stabbed Tuesday morning in the eastern mid-town area. When police arrived Paul Reiderer told them he was in a confrontation with two people and at first didn’t even realize he was injured. Police say his wound was not considered life threatening at the time but he was taken to a hospital. His condition worsened later in the day and passed away.
