Zack Darlington, a quarterback for Apopka High School in Florida and a Nebraska recruit, was airlifted to a nearby hospital after being hit on a play as he ran out of bounds. It was his first high school game of the season on Saturday. Darlington lay on the ground for several minutes and was strapped to a stretcher where he taken to a hospital and will be kept for observation for at least 24 hours. The diagnosis is a concussion.
According to ESPN, Multiple sources said Darlington was unconscious and lay motionless before he was put onto a stretcher with a brace around his neck.
