The Nebraska Attorney General’s Office is providing Nebraskans an opportunity to get rid of outdated personal information and documents. Attorney General Jon Bruning says his office is bringing Paper Tiger Shredding to the Nebraska State Fair on Labor Day.
A-G Bruning recommends that residents bring debit and charge card receipts, old bank account statements, insurance or Social Security benefit statements, old bills, credit card offers and cancelled checks. Paper Tiger Shredding will shred those documents at no charge in an effort to prevent identity theft.
Services are available at the State Fair main gate and at the north gate from 9am to 7pm. The event is Monday, September 2nd only.
