A Nebraska dove hunter and his young son were injured in a holiday weekend hunting incident.
Officials with the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission say 27-year-old Francisco Almazan of Denton took pellets to the face, as did his eight-year-old boy, when another hunter accidentally fired on them.
The incident happened at Yankee Hill Wildlife Management Area in Lancaster County on Sunday night.
Both victims were taken to a Lincoln hospital for treatment. The elder Almazan was treated and released while his son was held overnight for observation.
Officials say the man who pulled the trigger was 23-year-old Arturo Garcia of Omaha, but there is no word on any charges.
