Blame it on the weather.
Attendance at the State Fair dropped a bit this year compared to last year.
A total of 334,931 people attended the 11-day State Fair, a 0.6% dip from 2012, the first drop in attendance since the fair moved from Lincoln to Grand Island in 2010.
It appears temperatures hovering in the mid-90s at the beginning of the fair held attendance down. Attendance seemed to rebound at the end when temperatures dropped a bit in Sunday and Monday.
This was Nebraska’s 144th State Fair.
