A motorcyclist traveling as fast as 140 miles per hour has been stopped in Omaha and has been charged with numerous traffic violations.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports a NSP airplane last night clocked a black Yamaha motorcycle traveling 130 mph on the West Dodge Expressway. A trooper had attempted to pull over the motorcyclist earlier, but he sped away, reaching a maximum speed of 140 mph. The airplane pursued the motorcycle for approximately seven minutes before the motorcyclist, 20-year-old Benjamin Maenner of Omaha, stopped at an Omaha residence.
Maenner has been charged with speeding, willful reckless driving, stoplight violation, no insurance, and no registration.
