State Sen. Scott Price will resign from the Unicameral.
Price, a Republican from Bellevue, says he plans to submit a resignation letter in a few weeks.
Price has not given details for why he will resign his seat, but says he has chosen his family over the Unicameral. He might be moving to Alabama, where his daughter lives. Her husband, who is in the military, has been deployed overseas.
Price is 51-years-old. He won election in 2008 and re-election last year to District Three. He is a retired Air Force meteorologist.
Gov. Dave Heineman will name his replacement.
