Omaha police continue to look for the driver of a vehicle that hit and killed a man crossing 24th and J Street Friday night. Officers were called to a personal injury accident at 10 pm. 57 year old David Yost was rushed to the University of Nebraska Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Investigators are still seeking assistance in locating the driver or the tan colored older model Toyota or Honda in this collision.
Another Omaha man remains in critical condition after he was hit by a mini van at 17th and Cumming Streets early Sunday evening. 48 year old Todd Dolezal was rushed to UNMC with serious life threatening head injuries. The driver of the vehicle, 24 year old Kimberly Griffith told police she did not see Dolezal because of severe sun glare. Griffith was not hurt and no charges are expected. Speed and alcohol were not factors in that accident.
