The death of a south-central Nebraska woman is being considered a homicide.
The Nebraska State Patrol says Webster County Sheriff’s deputies found 68-year-old Virginia Barone dead in her home in Guide Rock, near the Kansas border, after the office received a request to check on her welfare.
A murder investigation began immediately.
The Patrol reports two people wanted in the investigation are being held in the Jasper County Jail in Newton, Iowa. 41-year-old Shelley Casterline and 23-year-old Andrew Casterline, both of Guide Rock, were arrested on unrelated charges of suspected robbery in Iowa.
The patrol is releasing no details on the death or its investigation.
