An Omaha man died in a hunting accident Sunday.
The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission reports 48-year-old Timothy Bush was shot in the buttocks during a deer hunting expedition on the Omaha Indian Reservation.
Game and Parks says Bush was part of a five-person hunting party during the early deer hunting season. After being shot, Bush was taken to a Winnebago hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
An investigation by the Nebraska Games and Parks Commission, Nebraska State Patrol, Omaha tribal officers and Thurston County Sheriff’s Office is underway.
