One man is dead, another has been seriously injured when a pile of silage at a feedlot buried the two.
The Stanton County Sheriff’s Office reports 53-year-old Matthew Winkelbauer of Norfolk was pronounced dead at the scene. His co-worker at Fore-Quarters Feedlot southeast of Norfolk, 60-year-old Weldon Marotz, Jr., was injured and has been transported to an Omaha hospital for treatment.
