A website that focuses on financial issues and interest rates ranks Nebraska as the third-best state for a 20-something to choose as their home.
The website www.MoneyRates.com suggests young people should “ignore the cliches” about where to live and make the decision “with an open mind,” considering the liklihood of landing a job and finding a cheap place to live.
Nebraska earned the number three spot on the www.MoneyRates.com list because Nebraska’s youth unemployment rate is lower than every state but North Dakota.
Nebraska also ranked in the top 10 for affordability of college and of rental housing.
North Dakota ranked number one as a hotspot for young adults. South Dakota was number two. Montana and Iowa ranked fourth and fifth.
