There will be a crop production report on Friday. After a partial government shutdown last month the U-S Department of Agriculture had to start from scratch. Joe Prusacki with the U-S National Agriculture Statistics Service says the report will include newly collected data from our nation’s farmers and new in-field analysis. He says since the government shutdown some of the test plots may have been harvested so those numbers are lost.
As of November 3rd, 78-percent of the nation’s corn crop is harvested and 86-percent of the soybean crop. Nebraska and Iowa are both past the 90% mark in the bean harvest.
