High school graduation rates up in Nebraska

High school graduation is up in Nebraska.

The Nebraska Department of Education reports nearly 89% of the high school seniors in the state graduated at the end of the school year compared to 86% in 2011.

The department released the following break-down of graduation rates:

Nebraska began calculating graduation rates in 2011.

Nebraska Performance Accountability (NePAS) rankings show 70 of the 249 school districts graduated 98% or more of their high school seniors.
