The Nebraska women’s basketball team returns home to take on Arkansas-Pine Bluff on Thursday night at Pinnacle Bank Arena. Tip-off between the Huskers (3-0) and the Lady Lions (1-3) is set for 7 p.m. (CT).
Nebraska beat 2013 WNIT runner-up Utah, 75-69, on Nov. 15. Sophomore guard Rachel Theriot erupted for career highs of 28 points and seven assists while playing the full 40 minutes in the win. Senior All-America forward Jordan Hooper added her second double-double of the year with 13 points and 12 rebounds, while junior forward Emily Cady contributed 13 points and nine boards.
Theriot leads the Huskers with 16.3 points and 6.0 assists per game, while Hooper adds 16.0 points and 12.0 rebounds per contest. Cady has pitched in 14.7 points and 8.3 boards per contest.
Nebraska, has wins over UCLA and Utah (Pac-12) and Alabama (SEC), and is outscoring its opponents by an average of 16.0 points per game and outrebounding the opposition by 13.0 rebounds per contest.
