An employee of a fast-food restaurant in Lincoln endured a frightening ordeal after an armed intruder robbed the store and locked her in the freezer.
Lincoln Police Captain Danny Reitan says an armed man entered a Subway restaurant in Lincoln Monday morning, displayed a gun, and robbed the store.
He went one step further.
The armed robber took out duct tape, bound the hands of the employee, and locked her in the freezer.
Reitan says the employee had to spend an uncomfortable hour alone before being rescued.
“She was inside the freezer for about one hour before another customer arrived and heard her in the freezer and let her out,” Reitan tells Nebraska Radio Network affiliate KLIN.
A search is on for the robber.
