A suspect in a murder case in northeast Iowa was arrested yesterday in Lincoln by a fugitive task force of the U.S. Marshal’s Office.
Lancaster County Sheriff Terry Wagner says they’d gotten a tip that 23-year-old Perquondis Holmes was in the capitol city.
Sheriff Wagner says the warrant charged Holmes with possession of a firearm as a felon and he was wanted in connection with the homicide.
Holmes was wanted in the shooting death of an 18-year-old in Waterloo, Iowa, in mid-November.
Wagner says investigators believe the murder likely had gang ties.
