Seven fire crews rushed to 4th & Main Street Plattsmouth around 11 o’clock Thursday night to help put out a massive fire in a historic building that housed four businesses.
Fire officials say the blaze broke out in the Quart House Bar. A chiropractic center, doctor’s office and a jewelry store were also located in the building. There were apartments above the bar area of the building and one resident was treated and released. There were no other injuries.
Fire departments from Plattsmouth, Bellevue, Murray, Ralston, La Vista, Omaha, Louisville and Offutt Air Force Base battled the blaze for hours and as of this morning continued to dump water on the building as a precaution. One of the walls in the 130 year old building collapsed overnight.
