A pedestrian was struck and killed in a grocery store parking lot Friday afternoon in Lincoln.
Lincoln Police Captain Martin Fehringer says the accident occurred when a driver backed out of a parking stall and over the pedestrian walking behind her car. The driver backed into another couple of cars in the parking lot as well.
Fehringer estimates that both women, the driver and the pedestrian, are in their eighties.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene.
No names have been released at this time.
