A 51-year-old Douglas man has been sentenced to five years in prison for possessing child pornography.
The United States Attorney’s office reports Christopher Bohlen has been sentenced by Judge Joseph Bataillon; five years for receiving child pornography and a concurrent term of a year and a day for possession of child pornography. Upon release from prison, Bohlen will serve five years of supervised release and will be required to register as a sex offender.
The United States Postal Inspection Service identified Bohlen has an individual interested in child pornography after he received correspondence from a website offering sexual images of children.
An investigator from the Postal Inspection Service and a Nebraska State Patrol investigator went to Bohlen’s home in June of 2012. A search of computer files revealed 47,000 images of child pornography and child erotica.
