Two California residents, stopped for speeding on Interstate 80 in Lincoln, have been charged with possession after a trooper seized 44 pounds of marijuana from their car.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports the driver, 23-year-old David Azaria of Los Angeles, and a passenger, 21-year-old Christophe Clasquin of Beverly Hills, have been charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to sell it. Both have been jailed in Lancaster County.
The patrol says a patrol aircraft clocked the car driving 81 mph in a 65 mph zone. The marijuana was contained in three duffel bags in the rear cargo area of the car. The patrol reports Azaria was also wanted on an outstanding warrant from California.
