An investigation is underway to determine the death of a contract worker at the Cooper nuclear power plant in southeastern Nebraska.
Authorities suspect 64-year-old Ronald Nurney, from the state of Virginia, died of natural causes. They do not suspect foul play.
The Nebraska Public Power District reports Nurney was found dead in the reactor building at Cooper early Tuesday morning.
Paramedics at the plant responded to Nurney, but were unable to revive him.
The Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration have been notified about the death, according to NPPD.
The plant is located near Brownville, in the southeastern corner of Nebraska.
