Organizers of the 2014 Cattlemen’s Ball hope to raise $2.5-million for cancer research. Jeff Heldt is the event co-chairman and says it takes more than a year and hundreds of people to get the “ball” rolling. He says more than 600 volunteers are also needed to help make the event a success.
The 2014 Cattlemen’s Ball will be June 6th and 7th at the Hoot Owl Ranch near Harrisburg. Money raised will go to the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center at the University of Nebraska Omaha. Ten-percent will stay in the local community of where the event is held to help fund local medical organizations.
A Trail Boss ticket for both days of the event is $350 and that includes Friday’s social, private reception, preferred seating for the Saturday evening dinner and concert. The $75 Top Hand ticket provides admission for all events on Saturday. Details on tickets and event information are available at cattlemensball.com or by calling 308-235-2289.
