An Omaha man has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison on child pornography charges.
Federal prosecutors say 33-year-old Joshua Meyer will serve ten years of supervised release after getting out of prison.
Meyer was convicted earlier of possessing child pornography and distributing it.
The United States Attorney’s office reports Meyer displayed an image of child pornography involving a two-year-old during a webcam session on January 27th of last year.
A search warrant served on Meyer’s residence in Omaha in May of last year yielded more than 300 videos of child pornography from computers seized from his home. Meyer confessed to collecting child pornography over an eight year period, according to federal prosecutors. The average age of the children involved ranged from five to 10 years.
