A man accused of killing four people within a 10-day period last August was back in a courtroom today.
Nikko Jenkins attended a hearing on whether he is competent to stand trial.
Douglas County Attorney Don Kleine says we can expect a decision from the judge soon.
Today’s hearing lasted three hours.
A psychiatrist working for prosecutors testified that Jenkins is competent but a defense psychiatrist says he is not.
Jenkins first pleaded not guilty to the charges of first degree murder, but later stated he wanted to plead guilty. In January, he changed his mind again and states because he is mentally ill he should be released from jail completely.
