During Nebraska’s 76-61 women’s basketball victory over Indiana on Sunday afternoon, Husker Coach Connie Yori experienced dizziness and fell to the floor on the sideline in front of the NU bench at Pinnacle Bank Arena with just under 12 minutes to play in the game. After a few moments on the floor, Coach Yori was helped to her feet and walked off the court under her own power. She left the game and went to the Nebraska locker room where she was evaluated by Husker medical staff.
She was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation as a precautionary measure. We do not anticipate another update on Sunday. If the situation warrants, we may have an update on Monday.
Associate Head Coach Sunny Smallwood led Nebraska on the sideline in the final 11:43 of the game against the Hoosiers, as the inspired Huskers outscored Indiana 24-11 down the stretch to improve to 19-5 overall and 9-3 in the Big Ten.
