Nebraska guard Terran Petteway was named Big Ten Co-Player of the Week after leading the Huskers by averaging 19.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game as Nebraska posted wins against Illinois and at No. 9 Michigan State to improve to 6-6 in Big Ten play.
Petteway led the Huskers with 23 points, including four 3-pointers and added five rebounds and two assists in helping the Huskers to their first road win over a top-10 team since 1997. The Huskers snapped a 29-game road losing streak against top-10 teams and won for the fifth time in the last six outings. Petteway also had 16 points and four rebounds in NU’s 67-58 win against Illinois on Wednesday.
The Huskers are 14-10 on the season and host Penn State Thursday at 6 p.m.
