Boys Town is expanding into south Omaha. Executive Director Father Steven Boes says they are setting up a new office near 25th and L Streets in order to better serve children and families in the metro area. He says they want to have a visible reminder to people that their services are out there for everyone in the richest parts of town as well as the poorer areas and is for people of all religions, nationalities and races.
Father Boes says they will provide parenting classes provide supervised family visits and provide consulting services to families in their home. He says their goal is to make a difference in the family’s life so parents can keep their children in the home and avoid losing them to the system.
Father Boes says their new strategic plan is to get into the community where the people are that need help. He hopes Boys Town can learn from the community so they can do their job better.
