Nebraska women’s head coach Connie Yori was named Big Ten Coach of the Year by her peers for the second straight season. It is the fourth conference Coach of the Year award for Yori, who was the 2010 Big 12 Coach of the Year and the 2002 Missouri Valley Conference Coach of the Year at Creighton. Yori was also the national coach of the year in 2010.
“I am thrilled for our players,” Yori said. “They put in a ton of work to get better all year long. It is really gratifying to see that hard work recognized and rewarded by the other coaches in the conference.”
The Huskers begin Big Ten Tournament play this week as the third seed and will play Friday.
