Another request by accused murderer Nikko Jenkins.
Records show Jenkins submitted a request to waive a jury trial and asked Douglas County Judge Peter Batallion to allow a bench trial. A hearing on that request is Tuesday.
Last week Judge Batallion granted a request by Jenkins that he can act as his own attorney during the trial.
Jenkins is accused of killing four people in Omaha weeks after his release from prison. He pleaded not guilty but then wanted to change that plea to guilty. He also demanded to be released from jail claiming his constitutional rights were violated.
