Two women from Broken Bow are now jailed in connection with last year’s death of a young child in that town.
The Nebraska State Patrol has filed charges of second-degree murder and child abuse leading to the death of a child against Brittney Pryce and Diane Hill. Both were taken into custody yesterday.
Pryce and Hill are charged in the death of 20-month-old Noah Pryce in November of 2013.
The boy was taken to a Broken Bow hospital with a head injury, was transferred to a hospital in Kearney and eventually was taken to the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha where he died on November 22nd, five days after the injury.
The Patrol says the toddler had been injured while in the care of Pryce and Hill. Brittney Pryce and her husband, Richard Pryce, were Noah’s guardians. He was a ward of the State of Nebraska.
The investigation concluded the injuries suffered by the toddler occurred at the Pryce home in Broken Bow.
Pryce and Hill are in custody at the Custer County Jail.
