The 20th-ranked Nebraska softball picked up a 5-2 victory over Creighton, Wednesday evening at Bowlin Stadium. Tatum Edward drove in a pair or runs, while junior Kylee Muir scored a career-high three runs. Tatum also earned the victory, striking out nine and allowing only four hits in 6.0 innings. Sophomore right-hander Emily Lockman came on in the seventh and earned her first career save.
The Bluejays lost for the fourth straight game, falling to 19-14 on the year. Lincoln native Becca Changstrom (11-8) took the loss, allowing five runs (three earned) in a complete-game effort.
Nebraska continues Big Ten play this weekend with a three-game series on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Illinois. The Bluejays return to BIG EAST Conference play this weekend with a three-game home series against Villanova beginning with a doubleheader slated for 12:00 p.m. CT Saturday.
