The Nebraska State Patrol’s summer long seat belt enforcement and awareness campaign is focusing on teenage drivers. Lt. Kevin Bridges says 79% of Nebraska driver’s age 19 and younger involved in deadly crashes weren’t buckled up.
The summer campaign is designed to educate teen drivers on the importance of seat belt use. The Nebraska State Patrol will be taking their driving and seat belt simulators across the state to conduct demonstrations.
The campaign is funded by a grant from the Nebraska Office of Highway Safety.
