Nebraska Republican attorney general candidate Brian Buescher continues to go to battle on behalf of the state’s farmers and ranchers as he looks ahead at his campaign. He says the federal government is considering several regulations that would be destructive to Nebraska’s agriculture producers and economy in general.
Buescher says one proposal would further regulate dust from farm fields and livestock operations. Another proposal would further regulate water run-off from fields. He says if these proposals are allowed to pass it won’t be long before more will follow. All of these regulations impact Nebraska’s economy.
Buescher also wants to address Nebraska’s “good time” law. He says repeat violent offenders should not have the option of good-time – period. He believes there are the votes in the Legislature today to change that law. Buescher says remaining focused on that issue alone, without a lot of additions to the bill, is the key to getting it passed
