Law officers seized more than 200 pounds of marijuana during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 in central Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports a trooper stopped an eastbound minivan on I-80 in Dawson County Thursday morning just west of the Overton exit. A drug dog with the Dawson County Sheriff’s Department indicated there were drugs in the van. A search discovered 206.3 pounds of marijuana contained in vacuum sealed bags stuffed in six trash bags in the cargo area of the minivan.
The driver, 44-year-old Mailee Xiong, and a passenger in the vehicle, 43-year-old Xou Vang, have been charged with possession with the intent to sell the marijuana. Both are from St. Paul, MN and have been jailed in Dawson County.
