The Nebraska-Omaha baseball team hosted in-state foe Nebraska for a rematch on Wednesday night, falling 4-1 at Werner Park. The Mavericks scored an unearned run in the fifth inning and then just managed three hits the rest of the game as the Huskers scored four unanswered runs from that point on. Nebraska was led by Austin Darby, Pat Kelly and Blake Headley who each had two hits. The win went to NU reliever Bob Greco (2-1), who threw 1.1 hitless innings while keeping the Mavericks scoreless.
The Mavericks are now 21-17 (6-6 Summit League), while the Huskers improve to 29-17 (10-5 Big Ten).
