Nebraska and Colorado officials worked together in the investigation and arrest of a 67-year-old Overton man on charges that he used electronic communication to lure a juvenile into a meeting for sex.
The Nebraska State Patrol reports Paul Tegeler was arrested very early Saturday morning at a bus stop in Lexington.
The Nebraska and Colorado Internet Crimes Against Children task forces worked together for ten days on the case. During the course of the investigation, Tegeler communicated electronically with an investigator posing as a young girl. He suggested they meet to have sex.
A search warrant served on Tegeler’s house in Overton led to the seizure of computers and other electronic devises.
Tegeler has been charged and now resides in the Dawson County jail.
