A traveling exhibit that showcases women in the military is currently on display in Nebraska. Anna Morelock is the Deputy Public Affairs Officer with V-A Nebraska – Western Iowa Health Care System and says it is called “Women Veterans Making History” and it highlights the history and contributions of women in the military.
The exhibit tells stories of women serving in the military and working side-by-side with soldiers on the battlefield during the American Revolution to women as combat helicopter pilots during the wars in Afghanistan.
The exhibit is on display through May 9th at the U-S Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Omaha. It will be on display May 12th through the 16th at the V-A Clinic auditorium in Lincoln. It then travels to the VA Clinic in Grand Island where it will be on display in the south lobby May 19th through the 23rd.
