There will be a lot of activity in the air at the Strategic Air & Space Museum near Ashland on Saturday. Director of Development Kevin Hendricks says around 10:00 am ten helicopters will be landing at the museum for their annual Helicopter Day.
Hendricks says the Nebraska State Patrol and the Omaha Police Department will be flying in as well as a vintage helicopter from the Vietnam War era to name a few. Galaxy Enterprises of Holdrege will be offering rids for a fee and they are on a first come-first served basis.
After viewing the helicopters everyone is invited inside. They are also holding an indoor air show in the Durham Restoration Gallery where clubs will display and fly their radio controlled models from 11 am to 5 pm.
