Law enforcement officials have identified the man found along the bank of the Big Blue River in Seward County.
The Nebraska State Patrol says the body of 34-year-old Hai Sinh Nguyen of Lincoln was initially identified through fingerprints. Public response to a photo released in the case also aided in the identification, according to NSP.
NSP released a photo of a tattoo and a description of the body to the public on Friday.
An autopsy performed on the body determine Nguyen did not die of natural causes. His death is considered a homicide. NSP has not released the results of the autopsy. The investigation is ongoing.
A passerby alerted authorities to the body June 25th, reporting a body lying on the bank of the Big Blue River, just south of Beaver Crossing.
