Nebraska residents can show their support for the release of U-S Marine Sgt. Andrew Tahmooressi from a Mexican jail. Tahmooressi was arrested April 1st after mistakenly crossing the border with three guns that are legally registered in the U-S. Wednesday morning Virgil Patlin of Omaha is organizing a demonstration outside the Mexican Consulate office at 74th and Farnam Streets.
Patlin says Tahmooressi is a veteran and we should do everything we can to get him home.
Patlin says those wanting to take part should meet at Holstein Harley Davidson at 72nd and L at 7:30 am. The group will then head over to the Mexican Consulate office where they will present letters to the consulate leader requesting Tahmooressi’s release.
