There were no peanuts or Cracker Jacks at the ball game Tuesday night at Werner Park in Papillion.
Omaha Storm Chasers General Manager Martie Cordaro says they cleaned the stadium from top to bottom so fans with peanut allergies had a chance to see a game.
Cordaro says peanuts or items with peanuts were not sold. The ball players also took part and there were no peanuts or sunflower seeds in the dugout so kids could go on the field.
The extra effort is worth it. Cordaro says, “The families that come out and say hello and thank you. My son or daughter has never been able to go to a baseball game before. It really makes it all worth while.”
