You will find corn to cotton candy and hogs to horses at this year’s NebraskaState Fair.
Organizers are getting ready for the big event August 22nd through Labor Day, Monday, September 1st.
Shaun Schlief is the fair marketing director and says when the event left Lincoln the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission pulled from the event. Schlief says visitors will be happy to know they are back – bigger and better than ever. Their new display, the Outdoor Encounter and it features waterfalls, picnic areas and plenty of activities for the entire family.
The Outdoor Experience will be located in the NebraskaBuilding, which is new this year. Schlief says Game and Parks will sharing that building with the University of Nebraska who also has a new display called the Ag Experience. He says the interactive display will show visitors what it takes to get food from the farm to the fork.
Schlief says all the favorites are back including a midway, great food, displays, parades, live shows and more.
