But, the cafeteria at Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney might not be back in operation for months after a flash flood sent a wall of water into the hospital this weekend.
Marsha Wilkerson with the hospital says the city storm water system couldn’t handle the four inches of rain that fell on Kearney this weekend. Water roared into the hospital. It heavily damaged the kitchen, the cafeteria, and a few other areas.
The hospital, on its Facebook page, stated, “And to say we’re emotional about the whole situation is a bit of an understatement.”
