The No. 3 Creighton men’s soccer team defeated UIC 3-1 at Morrison Stadium Tuesday night. The Bluejays never trailed in the contest, extending their streak to six straight matches this season in which Creighton has yet to fall behind. An early goal from CU sophomore Fabian Herbers put the Jays ahead. He later assisted on the game-winning score by junior Timo Pitter in the second half to secure the victory.
Creighton improves to 5-0-1 with the win while UIC drops to 3-2-1 with the setback. It marks the first victory in the series for the Bluejays against UIC in three attempts – all at Morrison Stadium.
